For the 5th year the Auburn DDA will be supporting the Auburn Festival of Banners! We have about 60 banner posts along Midland Rd in the Auburn city limits to help us showcase the talent in our community. Submissions will be judged on design and theme content. This year’s theme is “School Pride/Spirit“.
School pride/spirit is an essential part of a successful school. It makes a student part of the school. It is MORE than just sports, so we are encouraging you to find other creative ways to show this.
There is no charge to enter your artwork! Print out a copy of the submission form for the details and get drawing/painting/coloring. Entries are due by 4 p.m. on April 3, 2020.
ATTENTION BUSINESSES and ORGANIZATIONS – You are welcome to participate. Entries need to be hand drawn/painted in an artistic fashion and relate to the theme.
Keep your design to a max of 9″ x 17″ (anything larger is unable to be scanned and may result in parts of your design being cut off).
Print your name and school or contact information on the back of your artwork in case it gets separated from your submission form. (We’ll do our best to return the original artwork). If you have artwork from a previous year we may still have it. Inquire with Stacy at City Hall.
Small words and images do not reproduce well on banners. (Detail work is fine for more experienced artists).
Use contrasting colors to help your image pop!
Keep it appropriate. Anything deemed inappropriate will not be considered for reproduction.
